For Children and Young People (even us adults!) having to separate from Parents/Carers, friends and others in their lives to go to the likes of School, go into hospital, go on holiday, many reasons, can be a really difficult time.

Something that can help with this process, is a Comfort/Transition Object- the idea is that the Child/Young Person (Adult!) can keep a special object that has a connection between them and the special person close to them to help give them emotional support and develop regulation and independence.

These are the RuLu Pocket Hug kits. Each kit contains a wooden heart that Children (or whoever) can colour, decorate and make their own, colouring pencils, and a small Pocket Hug story.

They give the heart a big, squeezy hug and their special person/people will do the same while reading the Pocket Hug story to join together!

The Pocket Hug can then be taken anywhere, for example in a school bag, as a reminder.
